Newborn babies are not very easy to take care of. As they grow older, it doesn’t particularly get easier either. New moms and sometimes even old moms find it challenging to care for their newborns. From diaper change to the appropriate food for them, it’s not easy to do.

When it comes to your infant, you need to take extra care when feeding them. What is suitable for them and why? What do they need to grow and develop into healthy, happy babies? All these questions can be answered with some research.

Is your baby ready to take solid food? Well, not to worry. However, before you proceed into feeding your babies solid food, bear in mind that they are new eaters and they do not need to eat too much at first. Also, look out for allergies and contact your doctor as soon as you notice any reaction to a meal.

Here are simple food recipes for Infants;

Baked Sweet Potato Puree

This is possibly one of the first options for parents who want to introduce solid food to their babies. Baked Sweet Potato Puree Vitamins and lots of fibre which is needed to build a baby’s immune system. This is most suitable for 4 to 6-month-olds.

Banana Puree

What is better than a food rich in potassium and lots of fiber? Banana puree is soft for your baby’s digestive system as they contain antacids. Be careful about how much banana puree you feed your infant though, especially when you are just introducing them to it. Too much banana may lead to constipation which causes infant’s discomfort and irritability.

Banana purees are best given when your baby is about 4 to 6 months.

Coconut Chicken Curry

This curry recipe for babies is packed with proteins and lots of vegetables. It is most suitable for babies who are 10 months and above. You can chop it up or mash it based on your child’s taste. It is a tasty and fun way to introduce your baby to solid food.

Pea Puree

When introducing your 4-month-old infant to solid food, your focus should be on how much nutrient the food contains. With that in mind, you will be making a solid choice when you feed your baby pea puree. Pea is rich in vitamins, minerals and protein. It is definitely a healthy choice of solid food for your infant!

Beets and Blueberry Mash

Suitable for babies 7 months and above, beets and blueberry mash packs a lot of nutrients. Rich in antioxidants as it is in color, this mash naturally draws your baby’s attention before they even begin eating. The combination also contains vitamins and fiber.

Introducing solid food to your baby is a lot of fun. You get to try new things and let their test buds explore! They love it as much as you love it, although it may seem strange to them at first, babies are the most curious little things!
