Senior Market Editor Megan Hayes knows what she likes. That’s convenient given the number of decisions Hayes makes daily—what to wear to work, what to feature in the half dozen fashion stories she’s juggling, what synonym to use for the word “style." 

As an English major at the University of Michigan, Megan had little interest in the sartorial—until she spent a semester in London and fell in love with street fashion. Even now, Hayes sticks to her morning routine from college—a run and a shower. “Maybe it's the fact that I swam for years but my day can't start unless I get my hair wet.”

At the office, Hayes’ day is less predictable. A bit of breaking news, a sudden story idea, or a “sold out” item turns her schedule upside down. Having spent time in the accessories departments at Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar means Hayes sharpened her eye for aesthetics. At Lifestyle Mirror, she’s whittled multitasking down to an art form.
