Television network TLC is responsible for bringing us gems like Jon & Kate Plus 8 and Little People, Big World, but now might come their ultimate masterpiece. Secret Princes, set to air on September 21st, will place four royal descendants in a house in Atlanta, Georgia as they embark on a clandestine search for true love. Including Prince Francisco of Spain, Prince Salauddin Babi of India, Lord Robert Walters from the UK, and Honorable Ludovic Watson of Houghton Hall in the UK, the show will undoubtedly cash in on Americans’ current fascination with royalty following Kate and Wills’s wedding last April.
While the Princes look for an unknowing American sweetheart, they’ll also learn how to cook, clean, shop on their own, and will even host their own barbecue, according to the Daily Mail. The series will culminate in a big reveal ball, where they’ll expose their true identities. This inventive formula has previously proven successful in the UK where Undercover Princesses aired on BBC Three has had great success nation-wide. Whether or not an American audience will catch on is yet to be seen, but even without a preview trailer, the show’s entire premise sounds ridiculously entertaining. —Misty White Sidell (@MistyWhiteS)
