Ten Best Punk Rock Nails
MET MANICURE: 10 BEST PUNK ROCK NAIL ART DESIGNS
What with Monday's big Met Gala coming up celebrating all things punk, we grew a wee bit overwhelmed at the thought of "punk fashion". (Though, if you need a tutorial, we have a lovely little how-to tutorial right here.) There are only so many ways to look anarchy chic with our clothes and—let's face it—that's not exactly everyone's M.O... so why not have a little fun with some nail art designs? The ever-innovative Deborah Lippmann gave us a sneak peak of her newest collection that's set to make its debut this summer, a stucco lacquer like nothing we’ve ever seen. Its edgy texture and color led Lippmann to name them after some of her favorite punk rock songs like, “I Wanna be Sedated” and “Pretty Vacant”. That got us thinking about the punk rock trend elsewhere—on the tips at Assembly NY as well as the studs at Kate Spade. Because we were so excited about this surge of punk rock nail art, we searched for some shining examples of punk-style nails and found the ten best manicures. Click through the slides and let us know which nails you would rock. And should you be headed to the Met Gala this weekend, please be advised that sharply studded nails will probably rip your couture gown. Though, on second thought, that sounds like a very punk rock look. –Lucy McLaughlin (@LucyKMcL)
