Every woman strives to achieve that perfectly bronzed, just-off-the-beach glow during these summer months. Whether you’re seeking an all-over sun-kissed look or the very sexy bronze smoky eye, the (safe) tan is on trend.
By now, we've all heard what the experts have to say about the best in bronze palettes and products, so we turned to our favorite YouTube gurus for the how-to on a wearable glow. Ruth Crilly of A Model Recommends recreated the radiant face from Tom Ford’s spring/summer 2012 makeup campaign using his very luxurious make up collection, building a shimmery copper smoky eye with luminous skin and bronzed cheeks. Alternatively, makeup artist Tanya Burr of Pixi2woo opted for more affordable brands like Rimmel London and Maybelline to create the gilded, smoldering eyes inspired by Miley Cyrus at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
Both girls had one message in common: fresh, flawless skin. Like any artist’s palette, you need to start with an even, clean surface so the makeup (in this case, the dramatic eye) can remain the focal point. They finished the looks with a touch of pinky-nude color on the cheeks and lips, complemented by light bronzer.
